Dear Friends,
I hope you're having a great summer!
Previously, we mentioned that we've formed a search committee to identify a new artistic director after our previous director Richard Waters had to step down at the end of last season due to other professional obligations.

We're very excited to announce that we've identified three extremely qualified candidates, and have asked each of them to conduct a concert in this upcoming 2024-2025 season. We're now planning to present three concerts, one for each of our esteemed finalists. We believe this strategy is the most productive way to choose our new Artistic Director.

Our proposed 2024-2025 concert schedule is as follows (with all times and locations yet to be confirmed):

Sunday, December 8, 3 pm, First Presbyterian Church-Lexington, Advent/Christmas concert conducted by Dr. Kirk Rich, finalist #1.

Sunday, March 2, Epiphany/Lenten program, conducted by Dr. Vicki Bell, finalist #2.

Sunday, May 18, Easter/Pentecost program, conducted by Dr. Stephen Bolster, finalist #3.

These concerts will give our audience a chance to meet the three finalists, and enjoy the fruits of their work with the professional singers of the Kentucky Bach Choir and orchestra.
However, this strategy will require a bigger budget to support the third concert. We would greatly appreciate your financial support in this exciting new endeavor. Please help us by clicking on the "Donate" button below.
We will share more detailed information with you about our 2024-2025 season very soon. Please stay tuned!
And, as always, thanks for your support of the Kentucky Bach Choir and its important mission as we prepare to present our 18th concert season!

Sincerely,
